Iowans join The Stupids

October 19, 2010

Iowans are being asked (by teabaggers) to vote against several judges because they have ignored the “will of the people” in their rulings.

News folks. The “will of the people” has no place in the court. Judges are only concerned with the “rule of law”, which fortunately overrides the will of the people. Thank goodness. If not, Rosa Parks would have been beaten to the back of the bus, women would still be barefoot in the kitchen, and only rich, white males would vote.

Oh, and Iowa, if you want to get rid of “Activist” judges you might start with those that actually are activists…like Chief Justice Roberts. Just because you don’t agree with a ruling doesn’t make a judge an activist.

Unless you are a fascist. Are you fascist Iowa?

Colorado and Kansas are joining in on the Stupid Wagon for the same reasons.

There’s a reason we have laws.

The judges are staying out of the mess in these states as they feel politicking has no place in the courts and they are right. In fact, all judges should be appointed and not elected in order to avoid any conflicts due to campaign contributions.

So Iowa, Colorado and Kansas. You’ve joined Alaska and Texas in vying for most stupid state in the U.S.

Congratulations.

Are all Alaskans stupid?

March 20, 2010

How can Alaskans love their dogs so much

and hate their wolves so much?

And entire pack of Yukon/Charley wolves was killed by helicopter. Two of the wolves wore collars, the shooter saw the collars and shot them anyway. The agreement between the state and the national park service was that no collared wolves or their pack mates would be shot. The two wolves that were shot were part of a 16 year scientific study.

When will Alaskans stop voting against their own interests? Facebook groups are already mobilizing a boycott of Alaska as far as tourism goes. Alaskans voting for Sean Parnell who appointed unqualified asshats like Corey Rossi, a friend of the Palins, to a position he has no right to have. He doesn’t have a college degree, but they waived that requirement for his recent appointment as Division of Wildlife Management. He’s not a biologist. His previous job was eradicating invasive species – a professional killer whose nickname is the “gopher choker”. His first mission is to obtain $100,000 in public funds to do a high-quality video about the joys of killing wolves and bears in Alaska. The fluff piece on why it’s OK to eliminate 80-100% of bears and wolves in some areas.

Wolves and bears that tourists travel to Alaska and pay lots of money to see.

Way to go.

Read more about it at The Mudflats and Just a Girl from Homer. There’s also a piece at The Immortal Minority.

And while you’re at it, write Discovery and A&E and tell them you’re not interested in any reality show associated with Sarah “The Quitter” Palin.

Stupid is as stupid votes.

January 19, 2010

I can’t believe the voters of Massachusetts could be so self-centered, brainwashed and stupid as to elect that teabagging liar. In doing so they’ve not only shot themselves in the foot, they’ve also forced the rest of us to suffer through the continued obstructionism of the GOP, the party of NO.

I will never forgive the voters of Massachusetts for forcing us to suffer because of their shortsighted selfishness.

“TOLD YOU SO” won’t help when that teabagging liar starts spewing his racist hate. You’ll never see that “man of the people” driving that pick up truck again now that he’s elected.

Let’s just hope centerfold guy has more brains than the beauty queen governor they almost foisted on us.

And to think MIT is in Massachusetts. They must import all of the smart people to teach and go to school there. Obviously Massachusetts is a lot dumber than people give them credit for.

What’s so bad about polling?

January 18, 2010

I think polling influences elections.

If polls come out a few days before a race predicting a winner, even if it’s unlikely, that person gets votes. Voters will vote for the “winner” if they think that person has “already won”.

It’s like when Fox News called the election for Bush.

We’ll see if I’m right. But read more about it at five thirty-eight.

Not many people are going to read through the math and crunch the numbers like this guy. They’ll just believe the latest poll the news reports, whether it’s biased or bogus.

Personally, I’m really pissed. I’m pissed that once again voters are being stupid. Corporations (mostly health) who want to see the health bill defeated are throwing money behind Scott Brown, either directly to his campaign or funding other organizations. Goebbels said it best; tell a lie often enough and people will start to believe it. That’s the essence of Scott Brown’s campaign.

Martha Coakley is a lousy campaigner. She doesn’t like getting up in front of people and bragging about herself or attacking her opponent. But she stands behind the same programs Teddy Kennedy did. She gets it. She is the candidate that will be looking out for the best interests of the public, not the best profits for corporate America.

This seat is the 60th vote. Massachusetts isn’t just voting to represent themselves. They have the future of the entire country in their hands. And they are about to screw us all.

I don’t know what Massachusetts makes but whatever it is, I’m willing to do without. I’ve avoided patronizing any goods or businesses that have anything to do with Utah or the Mormon church because they screwed Californians over Prop 8. (And I am totally behind revoking tax exempt status for all organized religion. That will solve our budget crisis in one fell swoop right there.) I’m willing to shun all things Massachusetts if they screw us over.

Democracy is the worst form of government….except for everything else.

Churchill also said “The best argument against democracy is a 5 minute conversation with the average voter”.

En masse we are reduced to the lowest common I.Q. I.E .those that believe the lies bought by corporations spewed by the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin, Pat Robertson……and Scott Brown.

How can any person with an I.Q. higher than their belt size want to voluntarily associate with these mouth breathing pond scum?

Pleae, God. Let Scott Brown stick his foot in it big time. Maybe Sarah Palin can go to Massachusetts and campaign for him?
