The Ides of Trump

March 15, 2017

Today is the Ides of Trump.

Get a postcard and tell him exactly what you think of the job he’s doing.

Take it from the horse’s mouth.

I think George Takei is more qualified than anyone to comment on the Trump administration’s policies.

“For Takei, who spent his childhood in an internment camp, to tout this dark chapter in American history is to ignore the tragedy that took place when 120,000 people were robbed of their home, livelihood and freedom.

Takei, who rose to prominence on “Star Trek” and later connected with a new generation as a social media personality, penned an op-ed for the Washington Post on Friday criticizing Carl Higbie, a prominent Donald Trump surrogate, for suggesting that the internment would allow the president-elect to establish a database of Muslims.

“Let us all be clear: ‘National security’ must never again be permitted to justify wholesale denial of constitutional rights and protections,” Takei wrote. “If it is freedom and our way of life that we fight for, our first obligation is to ensure that our own government adheres to those principles. Without that, we are no better than our enemies.” “

Desperately seeking this bear.

February 1, 2016

I’ve got the Steiff 36cm Winnie (sits 14 inches tall), the ornament and even the black bear on wheels.

I had no idea that Danbury Mint released a 45 cm Steiff “A Bear Named Winnie” in 2014. Sits 18 inches tall and sold for $495. Limited to 1,914 worldwide.

Had I known I would have bought one.

Update.

Never mind. I just did!

Found one on eBay for a lot less than the original price. Still paid too much but I don’t care. I’ve got my bear! It will be coming all the way from the U.K. but I am thrilled to have finally obtained my dream bear. Have the DVD, several books and now my BIG bear. Can’t wait to give him a hug.

Thief, liar and fraud Chris Morgan Gilcrest convicted of 3 felonies!

July 14, 2015

Asshole Chris has been caught again, convicted again and this time will serve time and be fined.

In 2013 Gilcrest was convicted of agriculture violations:

“July 05, 2013 4:15 pm  •

Illegally shipping 65 rose bushes to Napa County in 2012 has led a Ventura County man to be convicted of two misdemeanors and serve 10 days on a work-release program.

Christopher M. Gilcrest, 49, of Lancaster pleaded guilty Tuesday to two violations of food and agriculture regulations for unlawfully shipping nursery stock and selling it without a valid license, according to a news release from the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office.

Ventura County Superior Court Judge Kevin Denoce sentenced Gilcrest to 10 days on a work-release program, 36 months probation, and ordered him to pay a $500 fine and $2,335 in restitution.”

Notice it says 3 years probation. That would extend into 2016.

But that ol’ liar and thief Chris Gilcrest couldn’t wait to resume his illegal activity. Apparently too stupid to realize that once he was caught and convicted, the chances of him being caught and convicted a second time go way up. And so it did. He was arrested on March 9 of 2015 and convicted  June 2 of 2015. This time he’ll get more than a slap on the wrist.

1 felony count of grand theft

2 felony counts of conspiracy

1 misdemeanor of false advertising

He’ll get one year in the Ventura county jail, 5 years probation, he’ll have to pay restitution to hundreds of victims (he’ll never be able to do that as it is thousands of dollars he doesn’t have) and he’ll never be allowed to run a horticulture or agriculture business or sell nursery stock.

Now those of us who know this asshole know that the minute he’s out his website will be back up and he’ll be defrauding people across the U.S. again. In fact, I’ll wager the website is still up and he’ll be “selling” plants and taking money while he’s in jail! And thanks to the revised three strikes law in California, this asshole will be arrested, convicted, serve and then be out again to do it all over again even though the next time will be his third strike. In fact, I think this time might even be his third strike. But no on has learned anything. He’ll keep committing crimes and the Judge will just increase his punishment a little each time. No. I don’t think one year is long enough, nor will he be monitored during his 5 years probation to make sure he’s not resuming business as usual.

By now he’s already started his jail time.
I notice Growquest.net is gone but Growquest.com is still up with a message to e-mail him.
Please join me by registering a complaint with YouTube to have his Growquest account suspended and all of his videos taken down.

Criminal Chris Gilcrest of Growquest Growers finally serves some time.

September 26, 2014

To all those that have been defrauded by that thief, Christopher Morgan Gilcrest of Growquest Growers, looks like he finally got to wear an orange jumpsuit, if only for 10 days. Also had to pay a $500 fine and $2500 in restitution. (Yeah, I’ll bet that check is eternally lost in the mail.)

The Venture County D.A. finally got him. But not well enough to suit me.

They only got him on two misdemeanors regarding food and agriculture regulations. Personally, I’m surprised he actually delivered anything since he mostly takes your money, then strings you along until you can’t get a refund from Paypal or whatever service you used to pay the grifter. I’m surprised Paypal is still allowing funds to be sent to him. They shut him down once. Then he went to Intuit and they shut him down (after *I* called them and let them know what he was doing.) His website has been revised and the google shopping cart is gone so it could be google shut him down too.

Whatever.

Just know that if you send him money, you’ll never see anything you order, you’ll never get your money back and if by some miracle he does decide to deliver something, it will probably die quickly. Not much lives when potted in decomposed granite and watered with sea water.

10 days wasn’t near long enough for the hundreds of thousands of dollars he has defrauded over the years but it’s a start. May it be 5-10 years the next time.

Oh, one more thing. He’s on probation for 36 months and has to get a license (which I doubt he’s done) but he’s still got two websites still up and running, the only difference is that he can only take checks for now, so I guess he’s locked out of Intuit, Paypal, Google and a few other other online payment options. Sorry, but anyone that mails this thief a check deserves to get scammed. There is plenty of info on the internet now that gives a very clear picture of what a fraud Gilcrest is.

Read up on the years of fraud Chris Gilcrest has committed and wonder why the Ventura D.A. only managed to get him on these two misdemeanors and he only served 10 days. They should have been able to do much more than that given the amount of dirt they have on him.
