Want to save schools? Give them a bigger budget? It’s simple. Opt out of standardized testing. By doing so schools will not have to buy tests or pay to have them scored. That will save hundreds of millions of dollars each year. Your kids will still learn. In fact, they might even get to go on a field trip, get their librarian back or have authors and musicians come to school for assemblies with the money saved. Your children will also be under a lot less stress. Learning can be fun again, instead of a chore or punishment.
