Soft Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread for bread machine

WHOLE WHEAT SOFT SANDWICH BREAD

Spray the peg and the paddle hole with non-stick spray before assembly.

In bread machine pan combine:

1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup orange juice
1.5 TBSP raw organic cane sugar (or you can substitute 2 TBSP honey)
2 TBSP melted butter

In a four cup measuring cup combine:

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (I use Bob’s Red Mill stone ground)
1 1/2 cups unbleached bread flour (I use Bob’s Red Mill stone ground)
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 TBSP vital wheat gluten
1/2 cup organic dry milk powder.
1 1/2 tsp salt

Dump on top of water. Make a well and add:

1 1/2 tsp bread machine yeast.

Start on light crust basic bread setting

      Yes, it did. I’ve refined the recipe a bit and now I consider it perfect for me. Your mileage may vary. (Especially with your bread machine, elevation, humidity, phases of the moon. It’s bread. Experiment.)
